DOCG Chianti Classico, Italy $22.95 (994608) 14.0% alcohol
Alluring aromas of red berry fruit, sprigs of herbs and mixed spice abound on the nose of this flavour-filled beauty. It dazzles the senses with a palate coating stream of dark ripe fruit—Bing cherry, ripe black raspberry and black plum—interwoven with tangy acidity, all balanced and beautiful. It’s medium-plus weight with good mouthfeel and a monumentally lengthy finish and aftertaste, Pour with osso buco Milanese. (Vic Harradine)
