All wines are destemmed and crushed with up to two weeks macerating with pump overs. They also finished fermentation with indigenous yeast plus malolactic conversion before maturing some months on their lees in barriques.

Intriguing notes of pipe tobacco, juniper berry, forest floor and spice intertwine with ripe dark fruit aromas leading to a dense palate that’s laden with blackberry, dark cherry, savoury herbs and a subtle earthy character. Dry and medium-full bodied, drying tannins are balanced by vibrant, well-ripened fruit and spice notes which permeate the generous finish. This refosco dal peduncolo rosso, a grape indigenous to the Veneto region, is dense and lively. Dark berry fruit and plum aromas are subtly adorned with exotic spice, dried herbs, espresso and smoke with lovely floral notes vividly appearing after some time in the glass. Dry, medium-full bodied, supple tannins and fresh acidity support a solid core of blackberry, dark plum and raspberry flavours followed by a note of bitter chocolate on the lengthy finish. Blackcurrant, cassis and sour cherry are layered with notions of tobacco, violet and a gamey note on the nose of this robust red. Ripe dark fruit flavours entwined with dusty cocoa, baking spice and vanilla, coat the richly-textured palate. This well-structured, medium-full bodied red, framed by firm yet elegant tannins and fresh acidity, finishes medium long with a lingering blackcurrant and sweet vanilla note.
