Lifted aromas of spice, cola, black berry and espresso roast provide segue for a medium-full-bodied wash of delicious fruit—black currant and red cherry—interwoven with roasted herbs, mixed spice and notions of cassis. It’s 100% Malbec from old vines, generously textured and well balanced. The dry, lengthy aftertaste adds dark chocolate and tangy, red berry fruit. Lovely sipped on its own or poured with burgers or steak. (Vic Harradine)
