Aromas of baking spice and buttered toast precede a medium-plus bodied, creamy smooth wash of palate-coating flavour with an array of racy tang—lemon, pineapple and grapefruit—interwoven with oaky notes, piquant spice and flecks of flinty minerality. The aftertaste lingers—crisp, clean and refreshing. (Vic Harradine)

VQA Golden Mile Bench, Okanagan Valley $23.00 14.0% alcohol
Dark-purple hued, almost opaque in the glass, this gives up alluring aromas of black bramble berry, sweet vanilla and charred toast. It envelops the palate with a tasty river of juicy black cherry, black plum, fig and dark bittersweet chocolate intertwined with wisps of tangy passionfruit. It’s medium-full bodied with generous mouthfeel, deft balance and lengthy, luxurious mouth-watering finish and aftertaste. Pour on its own or pair with grilled and seasoned rib-eye or beef fajitas.
