Knights Valley is rural, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Napa, but certainly makes uptown wines. This is gorgeous—fragrant aromas of black currant and rosemary form an enticing segue to this plush and classy number. It's fully textured and medium bodied delivering a gusher of well-balanced and juicy ripe flavours—cassis, black raspberry and the moderating racy tang of plump red cherry among them. The finish is fruity, warm and incredibly lengthy with the ripe tannin structure showing through. This is a Vintages Essentials product, always in stock in selected stores. (VH)
