This is a 'Vintages Essentials' wine; it should always be available in (selected) LCBO stores. The blend is 41.5% Merlot, 29.5% Cabernet Franc, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and the aromas and flavours are all about concentrated tangy ripe, red fruit—cranberry, cherry, plum and currant, infused with savoury spice. It's medium to full bodied, fully textured, with a long warm fruity finish. Very good value. (VH)

Well made and well priced, this nicely focused unoaked gem offers a glimpse into a Chablis-styled wine with panache. Mineral, spice and citrus on the nose, the flavours are all about citrus, ripe pear and leesy notes. There's supple texture, warmth (13% alcohol) and a lengthy finish of lemon drops and white peach. A gorgeous pairing with mussels steamed in (this) white wine sauce. (VH)
