Malivoire Small Lot Chardonnay 2021
VQA Beamsville Bench $24.95 12.0% alcohol
There’s everything you want in this beautiful unoaked chardonnay matured 10 months in stainless steel tanks. The fruit aromas are expressive on the nose at first—peach, melon, pineapple—then fennel seed and mineral notes show up adding a layer of complexity. A medium-bodied, almost creamy wash of lemon Meyers and grapefruit flavours wakes up the palate, followed with orchard fruit notes and a mineral, mouth-watering, slightly chalky tasty finish. This is delicious on its own but it will be spectacular with scallop ceviche or coconut shrimps. (Louise Boutin)

Malivoire Genova Gamay 2021
VQA Vinemount Ridge $27.95 11.0% alcohol
This single vineyard, vegan gamay has an alluring, bright, translucid ruby shaded robe with a violet rim. Crunchy sweet cherry aromas take the lead on the nose followed with blueberry, Swedish berry and a touch of dry bay leaf. This is medium-light bodied with delicious red cherry and cranberry tang, even a touch of rhubarb making up a fresh and lively wash of flavours. Soft tannins and a mild peppery note take you to a satisfying and persistent dry finish. This calls for an artisan charcuterie board or roasted turkey with cranberry sauce. (Louise Boutin)

This wine was settled for 48 hours, during 10 months of oak maturation the wine was fermented in one new French oak barrel while the balance was aged in tank. The entire winemaking team deserves a doff of your and my hat for producing this gem. Give it a go.
