Vintages Release: August 16, 2008   Cono Sur Chardonnay 2007 Colchagua Valley, Chile $12.95 (61911) Good value, this earned its final half star because of it. Herbal, pineapple and mineral aromas spin off this racy, organically-farmed, unoaked number. Crisp and refreshing, there's an abundance of zesty tang from spice-infused waves of racy and lip-smacking lemon-lime zest along with a hint of melon. The finish lingers and begs for a pairing of prawn and mango kebabs grilled then drizzled with freshly squeezed lemon. (VH) |
