Vintages Release: Fall, 2016

• All the stars aligned for the fabulous 2010 vintage in Niagara. Hand-harvested fruit for the following red blend was sourced from low-yielding, estate vines of Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc, some vines over 22 years old, then aged 20 months in French oak barrel, 60% new, 40% one-year old.

VQA Short Hills Bench $39.95 (616433) 13.5% alcohol
An intense, beguiling bouquet of exotic spice, cedar and rich black berry fruit abounds on the nose of this stylish, smooth and mellow, balanced and beautiful red blend. A well-paced and delicious river of cassis, tangy red cherry and wisps of black raspberry bathe the palate. It’s medium-full bodied with generous mouthfeel and a monumentally long delectable finish and aftertaste. Drink now and over the next three years. (Vic Harradine)
