Only a portion of this deep-purple Syrah was aged in oak, ensuring the sweet ripe fruit aromas and flavours shine. Red and black fruit aromas abound; there's a notion of candied fruit along with spice and vanilla. Dry, medium-full bodied, the wine is quite round and plush, deliciously fruity and peppery. Delivering a long warm finish, this wine shows great integration, balance and finesse. (Susan Desjardins)
