Lifted aromas of rich ripe cherry/berry fruit interwoven with mixed spice and herbs abound on the nose of this value-packed pinot. A medium-weight, creamy-textured flow of ripe cherry and bramble berry flavours intertwine with piquant spice and grilled herbs. It coats the palate with flavours framed with excellent acidity and underpinned by soft, ripe tannin. This offers good purity of fruit and deft balance from cork pop to last drop… What’s not to like? • The following very good value 2017 Les Vignerons du Castelas Côtes du Rhône was sourced from 50% grenache blanc, 30% roussanne and 20% clairette from estate vineyards positioned on the right bank of the Rhône River between Pont d’Avignon (feel free to join the sing-along) and Pont du Gard.
