This is another great-value whiskey from Bushmills Distillery. This caramel-coloured, smooth-as-silk beauty is a blend of malt and fine-grain whiskeys. It has a nose of fall leaves and orange peel with a hint of burnt sugar aromas. It’s full bodied with gentle flavours of molasses and orange. It’s very smooth to drink, exceptionally so if you add a few drops of water to your glass. It’s the perfect companion with whom to unwind after a long day. (Dave Isaacs)

The whiskey in the eye-catching, black, hexagon-shaped bottle is made from 100% Irish malted barley, aged in first, second and third fill Oloroso Sherry butts. The excellent result is amber-coloured nectar with aromas of orange peel, bees wax and a slight hint of oak. It’s full bodied with flavours of caramel and sponge toffee. You can pour this over ice to cool the warmth, while the flavour profile is enhanced when sipped neat; it’s your choice. (Dave Isaacs)
