This bathes the palate with an absolutely gorgeous stream of tangy red berry and dark Bing cherry garnished with earthy notes and sweet vanilla. Aromas of wood smoke, graphite and dark berry fruit abound. It’s medium bodied with good mouth feel and a lingering, mouth-watering aftertaste. Following wild-yeast fermentation this was aged in American oak barrel—it’s a Vintages Essentials product always available in select stores. (Vic Harradine)
