Heavenly aromas rise from the glass—exotic incense, red and black cherry berry fruit, black licorice and wisps of pipe tobacco galore. It’s sourced from the holy trinity of the Bordeaux blend—cabernet franc/cabernet sauvignon/merlot. It rolls over the palate balanced on a pin with a mouthful of flavour—ripe black currant and raspberry robed in excellent tang and acidity and wisps of dark chocolate. It’s medium-weight and smooth as silk throughout the tasting experience and it’s so much more than the psalm of its parts. Pick up a case and rejoice over the next 12 months or so. (Vic Harradine)

This is a tropical and floral beauty on the nose—pineapple, guava, honeysuckle, rose water—with a back drop of mineral notes. This is medium-bodied with a nice roundness on the palate but absolutely no residual sugar, leaving all the stage to cantaloupe and pineapple flavours, bright citrus acidity, energetic minerality and a ginger hint emerging in the long delectable finish. This gem will shine alongside steamed mussel or a seared red tuna salad with an Asian flair. (Louise Boutin)

While round on the palate, this is crafted in a dry fashion with delicious yellow fruit flavours, bright pink grapefruit acidity and a lovely saline note making its way in the crisp finish, encouraging another sip. This is a perfect partner to cream cheese toasted-bagel, garnished with a generous portion of smoke salmon and capers. (Louise Boutin)
