Roasted herb, dried currant and prune aromas presage a ripe, sweet wash of cherry cordial and black plum compote wreathed in leafy tones and a lick of tannin. It’s medium weight with a creamy smooth mouth feel and a lengthy finish. Pour with grilled gourmet sausage or pasta in spicy tomato sauce after a two-hour aeration decant. (Vic Harradine)
