There’s exceptional value here in this fresh and fruity red produced with fruit from vines averaging over 30 years of age from south-eastern Spain. It was fermented in cool, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged up to 6 months in concrete vats resulting in a fresh, fruit-driven wine. Cherry, plum and raspberry aromas intermingle with pleasant notions of sandalwood, eucalyptus and cloves on the nose before being released on the juicy palate. Dry, medium-full bodied with apparent tannin, it finishes medium-long with a lengthy, red fruit aftertaste. Pair this appealing red with a seasoned, grilled burger. (Lisa Isabelle)
