This is a crowd-pleasing, cool-climate, value-laden beauty from Orange, New South Wales. Tropical fruit and citrus notes mingle with a feint wisp of grassy notes on the nose. It rolls over the palate with sweet and tang delivered on a medium-bodied, nicely textured wave. Lemon pie filling interweaves with lime cordial and hints of gooseberry finishing crisp, clean and refreshing. Pour with crumbled chèvre over olive-oil dressed mesclun salad. (Vic Harradine)

Kacaba ‘Unoaked’ Chardonnay 2014

Perfumed and aromatic on the nose, floral notes meld with aromas of tropical fruit. It bathes the palate with a light-on-its-feet wash of Granny Smith apple and lemon curd interwoven with notions of pear and Key lime. It finishes clean, crisp and refreshing looking for a table mate—pour alongside pan-seared freshwater fish or mussels steamed in white wine. There’s very good value to be had here. (Vic Harradine)

Toasty notes, sandalwood and baking spice aromas interweave on the nose of this mid-full weight, creamy textured Chardonnay. It coats the palate with apple pie spice and binned apple persisting through the sweet finish. There’s a nice bite of tang on the aftertaste. Pour with milk-marinated, pan-seared scallops.
